Emotionally Resonant Storytelling: Children’s Hospital, “The Shift” and “The Weight of What If”
I produced, shot and edited this video for a nationally recognized children’s hospital, to show the patient experience from the patient’s point of view. I also managed to sneak in a little bit of tech, but the real focus is the patient and his wonderful caregivers.
I scripted, directed and acted as the on set Clinical Creative Director for this shoot. The goal: produce a “before and after” that showcases the problem and solution, no dialogue, one minute or less. This was a “show don’t tell” project, and it’s currently used both as a show piece for articles, social media, etc., as well as collateral for field sales folks who may have limited time with CNOs and COOs.
I produced, shot and edited this video to showcase a common problem for bedside nurses. Several challenges were present: the subject did not want to show her face much, it was about 3 degrees out, and every place we shot was decorated for Christmas. So I decided to lean into that and focus the message toward a “holiday wish” tone.
